Ahead of the 2023 presidential election, women in Lagos West Senatorial District on Friday held a special prayer for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and his running mate Kassim Shettima.
Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat; Lagos Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, and other APC candidates were also prayed for at the session.
The session tagged: ‘Prayer for Nigeria and prayer for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’ which was offered in the Christian and Islamic way, held at a hall in Agege Local Government.
The Convener, Rt. Hon. Bola Badmus-Olujobi appreciated women for coming out en masse to offer intercessory support for the aspiration of Asiwaju Tinubu for 2023 Presidency.
She said: “Women have the powers and I believe our coming together to pray together, God will answer us. Since we don’t have money, or resources but we’ve unified prayer request and it works wonders. So this gathering is to call on God to support us and help Asiwaju Tinubu to win, and other APC candidates to win too.
“We’ve registered for our PVCs, what’s next is to collect our it. So we believe that with our prayers, no matter our numbers, we can ask God to help us.
“We are the owner of Asiwaju Tinubu 2023 project, and we are putting him into God’s hands.”
